UNIJOS and 14 other Universities that accept Lower Credit for Direct Entry (See List)

Admission requirements into Nigerian Universities differ from school to school, while some accept certain scores, others do not.

In Nigeria, some universities prefer upper credit to lower credit grade on your National Diploma (ND)/Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates for those applying for Direct Entry.

However, there a few universities that accept a lower credit grade. Here is a list of selected universities in Nigeria that accept lower credit for Direct Entry admission based on the admission requirements recorded in JAMB Brochure.

1. University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN)

2. Osun State University (UNIOSUN)

3. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)

4. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University (ANSU)

5. University of Calabar (UNICAL)

6. University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)

7. Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto (UDUSOK)

8. Niger Delta University (NDU) Wilberforce

9. Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT)

10. Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi

11. University of Jos (UNIJOS)

12. Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU)

13. Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA)

14. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) for History and Performing Arts

15. All private universities (you may need upper credit for some courses)

JAMB Direct Entry is mainly for those who already possess a diploma certificate and wish to go for a degree programme in the university.

If offered admission, the direct entry student usually starts from 200 level in their university of choice.
