7 things you need to stop telling yourself
So being optimistic about your relationship status and shying away from negative talk could help you evade the bad men/situations likely to come your way
Single woman (Madame Noire)
Ever heard of something like wishes come true, it really doesn't matter if the wishes are good or bad so what you say may just come to you. So being optimistic about your relationship status and shying away from negative talk could help you evade the bad men/situations likely to come your way.
Julia Austin of Madame Noire lists these things single women say a lot:
Men want skinnier/younger/hotter woman: If you let yourself believe that all men are superficial, you’ll subconsciously start to hate every man before you even meet them. Then you’ll put out a bad vibe that will drive men off, only furthering your belief that “They must have only wanted someone skinnier/younger/hotter.” But in reality, they might have liked you if you hadn’t been so mean and bitter!
Only desperate people go online: Actually, plenty of respectable, desirable people look for love online, and there have been many people who have found it.
I'm to crazy: Everybody’s a little crazy, quit thinking you’re so special. Stop using this excuse as a crutch and go meet the person whose crazy works with your crazy.
I'm going to die alone: You just offended all of your friends and family, and sounded so dramatic. Go join a soap opera.
I'm too opinionated: This is possibly one of those most egotistical excuses ever. “I’m too opinionated” really means, “I’m too smart and strong for anyone.” You may be quick-witted and strong, but if you’re going around proudly using this excuse, your real issue is that you’re narcissistic and impossible to talk to. Everyone has opinions, some people just know how to still be approachable and warm while sharing them.
Men suck: Just…ugh.
I should let my body go: No, you shouldn’t. Cholesterol and arteries are still real things. Your body’s sole purpose isn’t to attract a mate, but to help you enjoy all the things you do. Treat it with kindness.
